Really? She thought hers was clean too…
I’m going to ask you a hard question. Rewind the clock… go back to your birth. Are you there yet? Think about those early years.
Were your ever constipated? Diarrhea? (extreme form of constipation) Lots of gas? Even if your bowels are regular, 2-3 bowel movements a day, what about those first decades? Now take a look at this x-ray… one is of a healthy colon and one in which the patient surely thought hers was healthy because she did indeed empty her bowels 2-3 times/daily.
A healthy colon: health begins in the colon
A famous medical doctor from Battlecreek, MI once said: “Of the thousands of operations I personally performed, I never found a single normal colon and of the 100,000 performed under my jurisdiction, not over 6% were normal.”
The woman whose X-Ray picture is copied here thought her colon was healthy and that she was not constipated, because she had three ‘regular movements” nearly every day. Before we can even think of rebuilding healthy bodies, we must first clean out the debris in our bodies, that sometimes is known to have hardened and been there for as long as 10 to 30 years!
Keep your colon clean!
Since 70-80% of our immune system is in the gut, wouldn’t it be a good starting point especially now when Spring is beckoning.
Spring is an excellent time for cleansing and renewal.
Let’s get started on the steps you can take to create a healthy colon. Springtime is an excellent time for cleansing and renewal.
Those young, tender dandelion greens springing up in the yard are superb to use in Power Green Drinks and sautéed with onions, garlic and a sprinkle of soy sauce, or Braggs Liquid Amino Acids.
Let’s first take a look at the 7 – 10 day cleanse.
7-10 Day Cleansing – for immediate and maximum results with food supplements. Important for chronic problems.
Body Tune-Up – With each meal for 7-10 days (10 if you feel very sluggish):
Drink Purified Water – average 8 glasses/day. (Body weight/2 = number of oz. per day.) If you discover you’re not drinking this much, increase slowly.
• Herb-Lax: Collects toxins from cells, organs, and glands. Moves waste products of digestion thru the system. Colon toner.
• EZ-Gest: Digestive enzymes. Use as directed with “troublesome” meals.
• Alfalfa: Cleanses cells, kidneys, bladder, and urinary tract.
• Liqui-Lea: Liquid multi, fast red blood cell builder, quick energy.
• Liver DTX: Rebuilds liver cells
• Optiflora*: The world’s only acidophilus/bifidus product guaranteed to deliver live culture to intestines. Helps prevent colon cancer, and improves immune system. Fights off Candida, and prevents antibiotic problems.
*If system is very weak; start with I ‘pearl’ only for the first 3 days; then add 1/4 tsp. ‘powder’ and gradually build up to 1 tsp. powder with 1 ‘pearl’ daily – or Optiflora DI Probiotic Caps. Double up when on antibiotics.
Rule of thumb! It takes 2-3 months to begin to heal. Add 1 month for every year you have had a problem.
Rule of Seven:
- The Chemistry of blood changes in 7 days.
- The Composition of cells changes in 7 weeks.
- In 7 months, major organs are changed.
- In 7 years, you have a whole new body.
Proper Pooping Position – Either position encourages the colon to empty more fully, with less effort, and actually supports and exercises the muscles of the entire intestinal tract.

Before having colonics, it is wise to cleanse the colon first with a minimum of herb lax; drinking your weight divided by 2 to know the ounces of purified water, eating lightly of fresh veggies, fruits, and power green drinks. I love using kale as one of my greens and here’s why:
This is an excerpt from Peoples’ Organic Co-op Newsletter:
“Kale is a member of the cabbage family. Firm with tightly crinkled leaves on long stems, kale is dark green in color. With an earthy flavor similar to cabbage, it holds its texture well when cooked. Kale’s vitamin content is exceptional. Just one cup of raw kale contains 15% of the recommended daily value of calcium and vitamin B6, 40% of the magnesium, 180% of the vitamin A, 200% of the vitamin C and a whopping 1020% of the vitamin K.”
Today’s Power Green Drink:
- 1 ½ cup purified water
- 1 ½ cup chopped kale & dandelion greens
- 1 ½ cup mixed fruits: fresh strawberries, blackberries, banana & frozen pineapple tidbits & mango chunks
- 1 ½ TBL: raw sunflower seeds, pepitas (raw pumpkin seeds), ground flaxseed
- 2 heaping TBL Shaklee’s Instant Protein
More energy. Greater performance. Thanks to Bob Fergusen for sharing the following from the friend responsible for recruiting him into a 500 mile bike ride.
“Several months ago, I began taking Shaklee’s Liver DTX Complex, Vita -Lea Gold and the Energizing Soy Protein Dietary supplement, and I noticed that I suddenly had increased energy. Within only a week, I noticed that taking Shaklee’s Liver DTX Complex and Vita-Lea Gold somehow appeared to add a glow to my skin as well as vitality to my life.
Since my early teens, I have been an athlete used to training for hours every day. As an avid athlete, I bike 200-300 miles/week during the season, and my performance depends on quick recovery after high intensity workouts. During my weekly 100 mile rides, I began filling water bottles with Shaklee’s Energizing Soy Protein and noticed that my endurance increased tremendously; the Energizing Soy Protein actually added fuel to my body during the long rides, and I didn’t get that intense hungry feeling any longer, yet the biggest bonus was that after biking the first 75 miles or so, I still had plenty of energy left.”
After you’ve done the cleansing, I would love to hear from you about your new energy level and vitality.
