Why would I be writing about the emotions of dis-ease? Actually, it’s a topic that I’ve wanted to write about for some time now. May we begin with an experiment? You may do this at home if you like.
See below the ice cube, the glass of water, and the steam from the tea kettle? These are the 3 items you will need. Tell me, which form of water contains the subtlest energy? What was your guess?
If you chose, the steam, you are correct. But what does this have to do with emotions and dis-ease (the body not in harmony with self)? When we hold emotions in, like anger, frustration, sadness, fear, worry, depression, we create ‘blocks’ of energy, like the ice cube, in our bodies. For each of us the location may be different dependent on heredity factors, environmental factors, lifestyle factors etc. If we are like water, fluid like our blood, we still may encounter ‘dams’ at certain locations. When we are like steam, the external factors of life roll off of us and are carried away. Think of steam also as our prayers, our positive thoughts that penetrate the air, walls, windows… limitless in their capacity to reach thousands of miles. Ever think of someone who may live a long distance from you? And then, the phone rings? Or receive a card in the mail? It all began with a thought.
Remember that ‘heart particle’? Sometimes referred to as the Spirit Molecule, God Particle, Higgs-Boson particle.
This micro-particle is in every cell of every human being. It is our direct connection to whatever name we choose to give this Universal Energy – God, Creator, Super Consciousness – the name simply does not matter – just as the angels do not care what title we give them. It is simply to recognize, to acknowledge that we each have this direct connection. What brings joy and happiness to this micro-particle is being True to Self. We’re each born with talents and skills to be expressed through work we love. But what if we’re just not sure who we are? Or why certain people, places, or events ‘trigger’ an immediate and unwelcome response? In the book, Ho’oponopono, we can begin to trace the root cause. Are you ready for some homework? Yes, this takes time and yes, I’ve done this.
Here’s just an example : Grandmaster Fu, 13th Lineage Holder of Emei Qigong, said with cancer: go back 2-5 years before the diagnosis. What happened? And did which people, event, or location was involved? At that moment, chemical changes occurred within the body. When we keep the unwanted inside us, it festers and eventually surfaces as a ‘dis-ease’. Often due to behaviors that were set as young children, we need to go back to our first memories. For myself, it was about 4 or 5 years of age. That’s when my adorable baby brother came into the world. He had the ‘Goldie-locks’ curls, big blue eyes, and chubby rosy cheeks. He quickly became Mama’s favorite. Yes, I felt that I no longer mattered. I was the skinny little kid who looked like her Dad. I did not care for this ‘intrusion’ in my world. To ‘remedy’ this situation, I treated my brother badly and began to ‘build the wall’ around self. I covered myself in nice clothes always with long sleeves to cover those ‘toothpick’ arms. Since I was tall, I began to slump, developing scoliosis & kyphosis. Still, my spirit was strong and became a majorette, acted in plays etc. These were all covers.
So, if you want to feel the best you’ve ever felt, first you must do the work. Get the journal out. Go back to that earliest memory; write it down…what people, events, or location was it? How did it make you feel… anger, frustration, fear, depressed, sad, worried, too happy? Then —release it. Let it go. If that translates to splitting a cord of wood, or going to the top of a mountain to scream or punching pillows…. Just release in a way that no other human or animal is harmed in the process. This is between you and yourself. Yes, we are our biggest obstacles. Now you are ready to go onto the next memory. Keep it up until you have cleared that ‘heart particle’. You will simply not believe how light and how vibrantly alive you will feel.
Let’s look at just a few of the common health issues and the possible root causes.
Arthritis: Feeling unloved. Criticism, resentment
Asthma: Smother love. Inability to breathe for one’s self. Suppressed crying
Back problems: depending on the location could be fear of future, lack of financial support, guilt, stuck in all that stuff back there, lack of emotional support, feeling unloved
Blood Pressure: high: long-standing emotional problem not solved;
Low: lack of love as a child
Cancer: Deep hurt, longstanding resentment. Deep secret eating away at self.
Candida: Feeling very scattered. Lots of frustration and anger
Heart: the heart represents the center of love and security
Attack: Squeezing all the joy out of the heart
Problems: long-standing emotional problems. Lack of joy
Hemorrhoids: Fear of deadlines. Anger of the past. Afraid to let go.
The above is extracted from Louise Hay’s book: You Can Heal Your Life. I received this timeless book from a dear friend in the millennial year of 2000.
It is said that stress is responsible for 95% of dis-ease; the other 5% is physical (Grandmaster Fu).
