What is ‘The Four Pillars of Destiny’? Have you ever checked your astrology chart? Or the Farmer’s Almanac? The Four Pillars is a very accurate system based on the 5 element theory. The year, month, day and hour and location of our birth and how the 5 elements – wood, fire, earth, metal and water relate to one another. Each of these elements refer to different organs, emotions, sound vibrations, color, health issues, relationships, travel, opportunities etc. We are now in an age period where our ‘true’ Self wants to shine through. Where is the true Self found? …in the Heavenly energies on the day we were born. Here we are in the Year of the Pig, 2019. Let’s first look at the energies present, health concerns, and one most vitally important action we each can take. This year we have Yin Earth in our Heavenly Stem and Yin Water (Pig) in the Earthly branches. Yin Earth is like the ‘garden earth’; yin water is like the morning dew. That sounds pleasant doesn’t it? If you look at the 5 element circle above, you’ll see that Earth restrains Water or is in conflict with water. To better visualize, think of the Earthen dams that are built to hold back water to control its flow. How do we transfer that information into the energy of this year? Because it is yin, even though conflict will continue, it will appear more gentle and harmonious. Just as we cannot judge a book by its cover, do not underestimate the hostile undercurrent.
The seeming peace and harmony is superficial. Exuding greater kindness, patience, understanding and respect during these fragile times is most beneficial.
If you are an Earth person having been born on an Earth day, you naturally contribute to the world through cultural, environmental and humanitarian actions. Due to the fragility of the foundation of Yin earth sitting on top of water, protect self. The Nature of an Earth person is honesty and trustworthiness. But not all people you meet will be worthy of that trust.
Tread cautiously. The organs associated with Earth are the Pancreas and Stomach. To protect self from diabetes, eat 4 – 5 smaller meals making sure that each meal contains quality protein, fiber and B-vitamin rich foods.
Exercise… find something you love to do and do it. And drink plenty of purified water daily. The emotion of Earth is over-thinking and worry. Immediately replace any worry thought with a positive affirmation. If you practice affirmations daily, consistently, sing them etc, you will become the affirmation. Enlist the help of the 3 ‘P’s’: Present-tense, Personal, Passionate.
Now, let’s look at this Pig character. The Pig is like a ‘traveling horse’. Do not be surprised if you feel an urgent need to travel or to move about. Again, use caution whether driving or flying. Think it through first.
The organs associated with the Water element are the Kidneys and Bladder. The Nature is Wisdom. The emotion is fear. Rise above the fear with the wisdom. Use of ‘Ott’ lights during the long, dark days is very beneficial. Avoiding caffeine, sugars, pastries and focusing on life-energy foods… veggies, fruits, nuts & seeds, legumes will provide nourishment for mind, body and soul.
Fire energy which is associated with hope, happiness, and optimism is going in retreat for a few years. The organs relating to Fire are the Heart & small intestines.
What can we do during this time of ‘very loud’ noise and uncertainty? We have a choice. We can choose to feed it with worry, negativity, complaints OR we can rise above. We can ‘shut out’ the noise by going within to the Inner Peace. I want to share with you a short story about the Operation Warrior Wellness program.
